Join us in your cowboy boots and get ready for some fun y’all. This is our annual Party for the Parks. Proceeds will help to purchase of inclusive park equipment in support of Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District.

Cost: $125 per person or $875 per table (seats 8, that’s a $125 discount!)

Additional Information: 

This is an outdoor event under the stars with lighting. In case of rain, the event will be moved to Freedom Center in Camarillo. 

Children ages 13+ may attend with a purchased ticket. 

Perk: Tickets are considered a tax-deductible donation. Tax ID provided on your ticket confirmation.

Come and stroll Old Town Camarillo on October 5, 2024 from 1pm to 4pm! There will be 20+ local businesses, up and down Ventura Boulevard, providing live music and a tasting of local Wineries and Craft Breweries!

Do you want a VIP experience?

VIP’s can join us and check-in at 11:30am at Studio Channel Islands Art Gallery for the exhibit “Blue Angels Rise and Tension Form II” by the sculptor, Bob Privitt! VIP’s will have the opportunity to attend an in-depth talk with the featured artist and creator of the exhibit, Bob Privitt, which will commence at 12pm.

VIP’s will be able to experience wine and food pairings from our local beloved Camarillo restaurants and wine from locally sourced wineries.

VIP tickets are $85 per attendee, starts at 12pm, check-in at 11:30am.

General Admission tickets are $55 presale and will be $70 the day of the event if available. General admission includes a wine glass, map, wine, beer and entertainment.

Attendees must be 21 years or older and show valid identification at check in and throughout the walk at the discretion of our participating locations.

Save the date for this year’s Ventura County Celebration of Books on Saturday, October 12th on the North Quad! The event is FREE and open to the public.

This year’s book is “Rough Sleepers” by Tracy Kidder which tells the powerful story of Dr. Jim O’Connell’s program to care for Boston’s homeless community.

CSUCI students, faculty, and staff can pick up a FREE copy of “Rough Sleepers” at the library’s Reference Desk while supplies last.

This year’s #VCCB includes a panel discussion on homelessness in Ventura County with CSUCI and community experts, a students-only reception with Dr. O’Connell, and a guest lecture and book signing with Dr. O’Connell. The day’s activities also include food trucks and picnic areas, bilingual storytimes, exhibitor tables, and more!
