The Reagan Foundation is pleased to announce that Christmas Around the World is coming back to the Reagan Library. Christmas Around the World includes 26 exquisitely decorated trees representing the 26 countries that President Reagan visited while in office, as well as a White House Tree. Decorations encompass the bright and festive colors of the Caribbean, the crystals of the Nordic countries and the traditional decorations of England and Europe. Of particular note is the Vatican tree decorated entirely with white ornaments featuring a life-size white peacock that adorns the tree’s branches. The featured tree is an elegant reproduction of President and Mrs. Reagan’s White House tree complete with “Reagan Red” decorations and dozens of hand-blown glass ornaments.

In addition, the exhibition will feature a “Gold Star Family Memorial Tree.” Gold Star families are encouraged to come to the Library to add an ornament of their loved one.

There is no cost to add to the tree. Families can bring their own ornament from home and place it on the tree, or they can use our gold star ornament to attach a personal photo to and add their loved one’s name.

The Reagan Library is open every day of the week, except Thanksgiving, December 2nd, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Write a letter to Santa and drop it in the big red mailbox at the Community Center and he will write a letter back to you!

1. Use your own stationery to write your letter, or you can download our letter template to fill out and mail to Santa. Be sure to include your name & address so Santa can reply! No postage stamps are necessary. If you do not provide a return address, the PVRPD elves won’t know where to send your letter and will be so sad… 

2. Bring your letter to the Community Center and drop it in the giant red mailbox located right in front of the Administrative Office at 1605 E. Burnley Street, Camarillo. 

3. Take a photo of you or your kids placing the letter in the mailbox and share it with us on social media using #PVRPDLettersToSanta on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

4. Santa will write a letter back to each person who placed an envelope in the big red mailbox (as long as they included their name & mailing address). The reply should come in the mail before Christmas to the address provided.

Email Santa

Santa is pretty hi-tech these days, so if you prefer to send him an email instead of a hand-written letter you can email him at sclaus@pvrpd.org. Mr. Claus will reply with a special greeting! Don’t forget to include your name! Unfortunately, Santa doesn’t always know who ilovechristmas@gmail.com is… although we’re pretty sure it’s Rudolph.

Hand Your Letter to Santa in Person

Santa will make appearances at the Cookies with the Clauses event, and at Santa’s Village after the Parade on December 9 if you’d like to hand your letter to him in person.

Mark your calendars for Christmas on the Farm! Beginning Saturday, December 2 through December 24, the farm will be decorated for the holiday season with a giant Snowman, Christmas Tree and Santa photo ops, games, rides, crafts, letters to Santa, Animal Shows, a Holiday Store and much more! On-line tickets will be required on weekends and available for sale beginning Saturday, November 4.

Visits with Santa Claus will take place from 11am – 4pm December 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, & 17 and are included with admission to the Moorpark Farm Center. Make sure to bring your camera to visit Santa Claus. Our elves will also be on hand to assist with photos. Don’t miss real, live reindeer from 9am to 5pm on December 9, 10, 16, & 17. California Sleigh Rides with our draft-horses will also be available.

Before leaving, pick up a fresh cut northwest tree from Big Wave Dave’s Christmas Trees. Noble, Grand, Fraser, Nordman and Douglas Fir Silver Tip trees are offered as well as mistletoe, wreaths & all the fixings from 9:30am – 7:30pm November 24 – December 18. All trees are beautifully displayed and stand in water. Delivery/flame retardant is available as well as Christmas Tree accessories including stands, wreaths, garlands, and mistletoe.

Bring out your chairs or blankets for the curb and line up along the streets of Camarillo to watch the Annual Christmas Parade then do some holiday shopping at Santa’s Village with a variety of holiday vendor booths. Enjoy some tasty snacks from food vendors while you walk through booths, participate in activities, and wait in line to visit Santa for a photo.

Schedule of Events:

Santa’s Village opens at 9am and ends at 2pm

Parade begins at 10am on Temple Ave. and Las Posas Rd. (along Camarillo Village Square Shopping Center) and travels down Las Posas Rd. turning onto Carmen Dr. and ending at the Community Center located at 1605 E. Burnley St. where Santa’s Village will be. The parade is estimated to last 1.5 to 2 hours.

Take an evening stroll down Ventura Blvd and stop into visit our merchants for a chance to win their very own themed gift basket! Celebrate this magical season with your family and friends at our Holiday Dinner and Tour Including our Christmas Trees Around the World exhibit. This spectacular evening of wonderful holiday performers, live magnificent music, and delectable gourmet food will be a perfect way to celebrate!

Tour the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., and the Air Force One and Christmas Trees Around the World exhibits from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Please note the Auschwitz Exhibit is not included in this price and will not be open.

Enjoy a three-course holiday dinner under the wings of Air Force One. Festive holiday attire is suggested. This is a perfect occasion to bring your employees to show your appreciation for their services throughout the year. There will be reserved seating for groups of ten or more.
