The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is an all-volunteer organization, with members from all walks of life, dedicated to preserving the history of combat aircraft which were flown by all military services of the United States. The CAF is a non-profit, privately funded and totally self-supporting 501 (c)3 organization. Our CAF aircraft fly!! Each year more Americans see them, touch their metal, smell their exhaust smoke, and listen to the ROAR of their piston engines than visit static displays of all other aviation museums combined! The CAF aircraft throughout the U.S. perform before nearly 10,000,000 spectators every year, recalling the hard-won victories of Americans and other freedom-loving people around the world during the years between 1939 and 1945. The Southern California Wing, CAF was formed in March, 1981, and now has 350+ members. The Wing holds an Open House during most summer holiday weekends.
The WWII Aviation Museum is currently only open on Friday and Saturday from 10AM to 4PM, and Sunday 12-4PM and closed Monday through Thursday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. We accept donations Adults – $10.00; Students (10-18) – $5.00; Children (6-10) – $3.00; Children under 6 and Current Military – No Charge. Our volunteers are at the hangars working on our aircraft on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays – from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Our cadre of volunteer docents are very knowledgeable and are glad to give tours of our facilities to groups (including school groups/classes). We need reservations for tour groups of ten or more in order to line up docents to guide you through. Please call (805) 482-0064 to make a reservation. We’ll have someone to show you around our facilities and make your visit a memorable one. We have an ever-growing museum of World War II aviation artifacts and displays, along with an aviation library. There is a gift shop in the museum for you to purchase mementos of your visit with us.

Opening on March 15, 2024, join us at the Reagan Library for a fun and informative exhibition on Star Wars – both the real-world technology of SDI, as well as items from the movie phenomenon. The exhibition will include original items from SDI including an authentic Command Launch Equipment Console, as well as props, costumes, and concept art from the Star Wars franchise, including a Landspeeder made for A New Hope, master replicas of Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber made from the original mold of The Last Jedi, and an original script signed by Dave Prowse (actor who portrayed Darth Vader in the original trilogy). With special thanks to Propstore (propstore.com), Entertainment Memorabilia Auctions, the exhibit will also showcase an original dress worn by Princess Leia, original sketches by George Lucas of the spaceships, and original helmets worn by Darth Vader, Stormtroopers and more.

Join us as we celebrate the end of summer by listening to your favorite tunes performed by our presidential DJ, play Cornhole and Connect Four, enjoy dancing, and dining with a delicious barbecue buffet. This event will be held outdoors on our Ruwe Terrace overlooking the beautiful view of the Conejo Valley. The menu will include smoked tri-tip, barbeque chicken, roasted corn, salad, and watermelon. Included beverages are coffee, tea, lemonade, and water. There will be a full bar to purchase other desired beverages. This is the perfect summer dinner. Dance the night away and celebrate the end of summer at the Reagan Museum!
All guests will be able to self-tour the Museum and Air Force One Pavilion from 5:30 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. There will be reserved seating for groups of ten or more. Groups of less than ten will be seated at tables of ten with other parties. This all-inclusive offer is only $68.00 per person. Casual attire is suggested.

What: Aviation Career Day for Ventura County High School and Middle School Students
When: 9:00 to 1:00 on Friday, October 18, 2024
Where: Commemorative Air Force Museum – Camarillo Airport, 455 Aviation Drive, Camarillo, CA
Why: An event for High School and Middle School students to learn about various aviation careers available in this growing industry. Students will have the opportunity to speak to aviation and aerospace industry professionals, military professionals & recruiters, pilots, aviation schools, drone professionals, aerospace engineers, and more. Many different types of aircraft will be on display and there will also be hands on activities.

We will be honoring 3 WWII veterans – Ventura County Navy “Seabee” veteran William Mors, Army veteran/POW escapee, John Procko, Jr and Army veteran Antonio Montanez, KIA at Battle of the Bulge.
Evening Highlights – USO style singers/The Satin Dollz & 9 pc swing band, Emcee/Bob Hope impersonator, Bill Johnson, professional swing dancers, food/drink, auction/raffle items and more All under the wings of authentic WWII airplanes!!
