In honor of Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, guest speaker Dr. Lily Anne Welty Tamai will showcase how AAPI communities established businesses, places of worship and social networks during a period of agricultural and small-business development in Ventura County during the late 19th and 20th century.

Dr. Tamai is an Assistant Professor of Asian American Studies at California State University Channel Islands. She previously served as the Curator of History at the Japanese American National Museum.
