29oct6:00 pm7:30 pmCalifornia Young Artists Symphony presents Messiaen and Bruckner

Event Details

The California Young Artists Symphony opens its third season with an unforgettable evening of music at the Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks.
The program begins with “The Forgotten Offerings,” by Olivier Messiaen, a profound work by one of the 20th Century’s most revered organists and composers. The centerpiece of the evening’s program is Bruckner’s Mighty 4th Symphony, the “Romantic.” CYAS will be led by maestro David Chan (NY Met Opera, Juilliard), who returns for his third season with the orchestra.
CYAS was launched in the fall of 2021 to the acclaim of audiences and artists nationwide. With musicians from institutions such as the Colburn Conservatory, the Thornton School of Music at USC, and the Herb Alpert School at UCLA (among many others), CYAS forms an electrifying ensemble rich in energy and expression. Concerts are a unique experience for musicians and audiences alike.
Join us for a heartfelt presentation of some of the most expressive music in all of music literature. Tickets on sale October 1st. Visit www.cyasymphony.org for more information.
