Living History Presentation at CAF SoCal

The Commemorative Air Force Southern California Wing at Camarillo Airport will conduct a presentation about this venerable aircraft and celebrate the 80th birthday of two SNJs in the CAF SoCal stable who rolled off the North American plant in 1943 and are still workhorses today. The Pilot Maker! One of the most successful, well-known, and revered military training aircraft of all time is the North American SNJ / AT-6 Texan. The predominant advanced trainer of its day, the SNJ laid the foundation for the massive aerial armadas of World War II and the post-war years leading up to the jet age.

Weather, operations, and maintenance permitting, CAF SoCal will also fly one of their warbirds for you. After the event, their docents will be available to answer questions about the exhibits and offer guided tours of their museum. Light refreshments will be available during the event.
