Hill Canyon Trail to Hawk Canyon is a 3.6 mile multi-use trail, with 250 feet of elevation change, rated easy and is moderately trafficked. On the weekends many families and solo riders venture out to this beautiful trail to spend some time in nature.

The single-track trail offers mountain views, shaded areas and is a great option for beginner mountain bikers. Along the way, there are wildflowers, birds, and a clear running creek known as Arroyo Conejo. The path also offers a mix of shady spots with cool breezes, and warm sunny open spaces.

How to Get Here: 

After crossing the Conejo Canyons Bridge at the start of the hike, follow Hill Canyon and Hawk Canyon Fire Roads to the Western Plateau Edison Road. Then, return along the Hawk Canyon Trail on the east side of the stream, connecting back to Hill Canyon Fire Road.

From Moorpark Road in the Santa Rosa Valley, drive west on Santa Rosa Road for 3.7 miles, turn left (south) on Hill Canyon Road for about 0.6 miles to the parking lot on the right.

From the 101 Freeway in Camarillo, take exit 52 onto Santa Rosa Road and drive northeast. After 5 miles, turn right onto Hill Canyon Rd. Continue to the parking on the left, 0.6 miles on.
