Do you love the great outdoors? Are you most happy being out in nature? We don’t blame you, so are we! If you need some space to clear your mind and enough space to do it safely, join us in Camarillo. Need ideas? Check out this two-day itinerary of outdoor activities we’ve created below.
Day 1:
Bridlewood Trail
Start your morning with a relaxing bike ride on Bridlewood Trail. This trail is a lightly trafficked loop trail located near Camarillo and Arroyo Santa Rosa. The trail features scenic views, a peaceful river and a beautiful creek with plenty of rocky footing. This dog-friendly loop makes for the ultimate outing with your four-legged friend. Enjoy this four-mile trail by bike or on foot, and soak in the scenic views that surround Camarillo.
Waypoint Cafe
You will definitely want to follow that biking session with a hearty breakfast at a favorite local breakfast spot, Waypoint Cafe. Dubbed by the Camarillo aviation community as “one of the best airport cafes in the nation” Waypoint Cafe serves up delicious breakfast and lunch options with a side of top-flight scenery. Sit outside on the spacious patio, literally feet away from the airport’s tarmac, and enjoy watching Cessnas and small planes fly in and out of the Camarillo airport. Bring the family and watch the little ones play pilot for a day on the cafe’s miniature runway. Don’t forget to try the cafe’s popular milkshakes or mimosas for a tasty treat.
Skydive Coastal California
Located at a hangar near Waypoint Cafe is Skydive Coastal California. If you’re feeling adventurous enough, experience one of the ultimate adrenaline-pumping activities: free falling from a plane at speeds up to 120 mph. Tandem skydiving offers breathtaking views of the Channels Islands, Ventura County Coast and our beautiful rolling hills. If this is not on your bucket list already, be sure to add it and make plans in Camarillo!

This park is a former stagecoach stop and is nestled in a rustic setting near the base of the Conejo Grade at the end of Camarillo Springs Road. Bring your mat, hat and a water bottle and get ready to ‘om’ into relaxation.
Point Mugu State Park Beach
Follow up your yoga session by soaking up the sun rays at Point Mugu State Park Beach, located less than 10 miles from Camarillo. Known by many for the notable Mugu Rock, a distinctive rock formation that has been featured in many television commercials and film shoots, Point Mugu Beach is a great location to dip your toes in the water as you catch a sunset or bask in the open air.
