Spring is in the air, which means the Camarillo Wedding Expo is right around the corner! Today, we want to highlight the Expo by talking about a couple who used the event to make all of their wedding dreams come true.
Our story begins in a sunny little city named Camarillo.
The Beginning
Alyssa and Dane’s path toward happily ever after actually begins in the halls of their middle school. They were fast friends, maintaining a friendship through those formative years that would carry them into high school. They were such great friends that when Dane asked her out for a movie and pizza, Alyssa wasn’t quite sure whether it was a date at all! It wasn’t until Dane gently took her hand that she knew— and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Proposal
Their proposal story couldn’t be more like a fairytale if it tried! Last April, Dane brought Alyssa to the gorgeous Carpinteria Bluffs— a scenic coastal trail and nature preserve about a 45 minute drive from Camarillo— and pointed toward the ocean. “Look at the dolphins over there!” he said, urging her to catch a glimpse. When she turned back to face him (presumably confused about the lack of dolphins), he was on one knee. Alyssa said “I do” (duh!) and when they returned home, her whole family was waiting to celebrate with her and her future hubby.
The Wedding
When it came down to choosing a venue, Maravilla Gardens was the one that stole Alyssa and Dane’s hearts. This gorgeous outdoor wedding venue is one of the seven featured venues during the Expo! Its scenic gardens perfectly set the stage for this couple’s special day. Alyssa even let the colors of the venue perfectly match her chosen aesthetic— a variety of beautiful greens that bring out a sense of natural elegance and tranquility. The weather behaved, as it usually does in Camarillo. Nothing but sunny skies as far as the eye can see!
The CamaRillo Wedding Expo
Funnily enough, Alyssa and Dane had attended last year’s Camarillo Wedding Expo with a family member before getting engaged. She recalls that even though Dane hadn’t proposed yet, it was still so easy to picture her own wedding with the gorgeous displays of vendors surrounding her. Nothing has to be left to the imagination at the Expo— from florists to photographers to officiants, you’ll be able to see exactly what you’re getting.
Join us on Sunday, March 24 at 10am – 4pm for the Camarillo Wedding Expo and explore seven outdoor venues in Camarillo, Moorpark, and Somis. Each venue will be filled with 15-20 wedding vendors waiting to show you what they’re made of, including florists, DJs, photographers, videographers, bakers, photo booths, musicians, planners, dessert carts, coffee makers, decor and furniture rentals, beauticians, and even more, if you can believe it!
