Day 1:

Commemorative Air Force SoCal Wing Museum

Start your day off at Camarillo’s fascinating WWII Aviation Museum. With twelve flyable WWII-era aircrafts you’ll experience history first hand. Check this off your bucket list and fly along the California scenic coast in a restored WWII aircraft. Great for kids and adults alike, the museum tour will delight you with a wealth of aviation artifacts, plus plenty of fun mementos on offer in the gift shop. 

Hot tip! Watch the volunteers work on the aircraft Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; 10am to 4pm.

Pleasant Valley Historical Museum & Botanical Garden

After lunch, head to the Pleasant Valley Historical Societyand explore the rich cultural heritage of the Ventura County and Pleasant Valley area. Wander around the spellbinding exhibits of recently donated early telephones, hand-made Fire Engines from artist Roland Gisler [1898-1976], antique clothing, and more; and stretch big and little legs in the beautiful botanical garden. 

Old Town Camarillo

Next up, the bustling charming streets of Camarillo’s Old Town. Brimming with boutiques; while grown-ups may like to browse the extensive local wine and craft beer selection at local favorite, The Wine Closet.

When dinner time comes around, head to Ottavio’s, which has been serving mouthwatering Italian food to local families for nearly half a century.
