Do you love cats? If so, Purrmaid Cafe and Adoption Center will be your new happy place! Purrmaid is an absolute paradise for those who enjoy company of the feline variety.
Opened in 2019 as a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Purrmaid Cafe and Adoption Center provides homeless cats an alternative to the traditional shelter life. The dozen or so cats in residence have access to a large room filled with toys, scratching posts, and nice soft beds. Visitors are able to sit with the cats in this room and interact with them to the degree the cats wish. And, if a cat should not feel like interacting (we all have those days, right?), it is free to use the cat door to exit to its private quarters in the back.
Our cats are treated like the kings and queens they truly are at their temporary home here at Purrmaid. Why temporary? Because, as our motto states, “Goodbye is the goal.” We hope that each and every one of our cats is able to win the heart of a responsible human who will provide it a safe and loving forever home.
So, come by and say hi to our cats. Maybe buy a cup of coffee or a water and a snack or two. And, relax. There is nothing better than the purr of a cat to calm one’s mind and soul.
