Shop, dine and discover your mild side in Camarillo

Mild Two-Day Road Trip

In need of some serious rest and relaxation? Here’s how to make your mildest dreams come true with a road trip to Camarillo, whether you’re traveling solo, with friends or family.

Day 1

Morning

Kay’s Coffee Shop

2364 Ventura Blvd.

Start your trip properly caffeinated at Kay’s Coffee Shop. This locally owned and operated cafe serves top-notch coffee and homemade treats in a welcoming atmosphere. You know what they say, variety is the spice of life! Here you can find a range of morning brews from rich espresso to matcha and sweeter concoctions like a brown sugar latte.

Hit the Links

Next on the agenda is tee time! Hit the links with your friends (or solo for some zen time) in one of our four award-winning golf courses. Sterling Hills Golf Club and Camarillo Springs Golf Course are both public courses offering priceless views, serene privacy and various amenities.  Spanish Hills Country Club and Las Posas Country Club are private courses but do offer services to visitors.

Late morning

U-Pick Farms

Spend the day leisurely collecting ripe, juicy fruit under the gentle sun at one of Camarillo’s u-pick farms. The city is well known for its farm-to-table agricultural, farmers markets, and unique agrotourism experiences. Berries are most popular during the spring and summer months, and veggies are popular in the fall and winter. Check farm websites for more seasonal details.

Lunch

Adolfo Grill & Daily Bar

“Good food, good times” is the motto! Named after the city’s namesake Adolfo Camarillo, Adolfo Grill & Daily Bar offers classic favorites and innovative lunch (and dinner) creations using fresh, local ingredients. For a hearty meal, indulge in delicious classics like steaks, burgers or a salad and enjoy well-crafted cocktails out on the patio or indoors.

Late Afternoon

Point Mugu State Beach

Take advantage of California’s Golden Hour and catch a relaxing sunset at Point Mugu State Park Beach. Located less than 10 miles from Camarillo, this beach is known for the notable Mugu Rock, a distinctive rock formation that has been featured in many television commercials and film shoots. Point Mugu Beach is a great location to dip your toes in the water as you catch a sunset, relax with the sound of the waves or bask under the rays of the sun.

Evening

Day 2

Morning

Camarillo Premium Outlets

740 Ventura Blvd.

Score some unbeatable deals on quality brands as you stroll from shop to shop at the Camarillo Premium Outlets just off Highway 101. Here you’ll find such favorites as Coach, Jimmy Choo, Prada, Volcom, H&M, and Ulta Beauty. And if you get hungry while shopping your heart out, there are plenty of restaurants offering delicious food and drinks.

Afternoon

Spa-ahhhh

Facials, massages, mani/pedi’s and blowouts more your mild-style? Melt away your worries and cares at one of Camarillo’s day or med spas like Beauty Lounge Med Spa or Posh Hair and Skin Studio. Not in the mood to go anywhere other than the comfort of your hotel? Many Camarillo hotels offer relaxing spa treatments and fitness centers too.

Hanging at the pool

Slip into your swimsuit, grab some sunscreen and head to the hotel pool for some down time and sunbathing! Because of Camarillo’s year-round mild weather, many local accommodations have outdoor pools and hot tubs for guests just to chill out and enjoy. Did we mention some sell drinks to sip poolside?
