Calleguas Creek Bike Path

 Located at 675 Avenida Valencia, Camarillo, CA 93012

Calleguas Creek Bike Path winds along the east side of Camarillo for 2 miles. This trail provides a fun ride with gentle slopes and offers views of picturesque mountains and hillsides surrounding residential communities. This trail is great for people looking for flat bike paths, without the disturbance of cars.

This is a nice, smooth and flat bike path that goes under several bridges, including the 101 freeway so there are no worries about bumping into cars. Visitors have the option of parking at Pleasant Valley Fields to begin the fun path.

At the north end of the path, you can detour off the path to at Pitts Ranch Park 1400 Flynn Road, just a short block northwest of the path, and enjoy lunch at one of the picnic tables.

Hill Canyon Trail

Located at  Hill Canyon Rd, Camarillo, CA 93012

Hill Canyon Trail is a 3.6 mile multi-use trail that is rated easy and is moderately trafficked. On the weekends many families and solo riders venture out to this beautiful trail to spend some time in nature.

The single-track trail offers mountain views, shaded areas and is a great option for beginner mountain bikers. Along the way, there are wildflowers, birds, and a clear running creek. The path also offers a mix of shady spots with cool breezes, and warm sunny open spaces.

Bridlewood Trail

Located at 3199-3101 Vista Grande, Camarillo, CA 93012

Bridlewood Trail is a 4.1 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Camarillo that runs parallel to Arroyo Santa Rosa and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are welcome on the trail but must be kept on leash.

The trail is pleasantly half shaded and half sunny, with a gentle rolling terrain. Several areas of the trail follow a beautiful creek bed that has sandy and rocky footing.

Wildwood Park Lizard Rock Trail

Located at Paradise Falls Trailhead, Mesa Trail, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360

Just a short drive away from Camarillo, Wildwood Park Lizard Rock Trail is a 4.1 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located 15 minutes south in Thousand Oaks. This trail features a waterfall and is rated as moderate with scenic mountain views.

Along the way, you will come across river crossings, a pristine waterfall, a creek, and in bloom flowers. The peak is also beautiful with panoramic views of the Camarillo landscape. Treat yourself after the ride to some food from Camarillo’s own local eatery spots.

Point Mugu Scenic and Overlooked Trails

Trailhead begins off Pacific Coast Highway and Sycamore Canyon Rd near Malibu, CA.

Point Mugu Scenic and Overlook Trails Loop is a 2.7 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Malibu, California and only 20 minutes away from Camarillo. This trail features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round.
